Meta is looking for a Communications Manager, VR Product – Social Experiences and Avatars to support the Meta Reality Labs (RL) team. We’re looking for a communications pro to build and deliver communication strategies that drive awareness and adoption of our social VR products and our avatars.
We see social experiences like Horizon Worlds, Horizon Venues, and Horizon Workrooms as some of the many foundational steps to make the metaverse a reality over the next 5-10 years. And avatars are a crucial part of that vision to let people represent and express themselves across realities.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about these technologies and can find creative ways to tell their stories to external audiences. They should be able to work across complex issues, and have experience collaborating with teams across product, partnerships, marketing, legal, and policy.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or a related field
5+ years of experience in technology PR or related field
Project management skills and experience working cross-functionally
Experience with fostering media relations across business, tech and consumer press
Experience to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Description（岗位职责）
Develop and execute creative communications strategies and initiatives to support our social VR experiences and avatars
Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, legal, and partnerships to find and drive proactive story moments
Handle a wide range of media relationships and be able to work across complex topics
Write and edit blog posts, pitches, social media posts, and other creative materials
Plan and manage press events, prep spokespeople, and create briefing materials
Have a deep understanding of our technology in order to drive strategy and execution for product demos
