At Reality Labs Research, our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Signal Processing Research Manager to join our team, whose mission is creating the future of input and interaction for AR and VR. We are specifically looking for a candidate who can work on signal processing and human validation of novel AR/VR input sensing systems, and manage and lead a team of researchers/engineers. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities. We want to work with bright and capable people that flourish in interdisciplinary collaborations and are passionate about developing new technologies that are genuinely useful.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has a PhD degree in the field of electrical engineering, human-computer interaction (HCI), computer science, biomedical engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience
8+ years experience in signal processing, or related field
4+ years experience collecting and analyzing datasets to characterize and validate experimental sensor systems in the lab and on humans
2+ years of experience managing people
4+ years of experience with modern statistical programming languages, e.g. Python, R, MATLAB, PyTorch
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description(岗位职责)
Apply state-of-the-art methods for signal and image processing and analysis to improve performance of AR/VR input sensing systems
Collect, analyze, and manage datasets to validate the performance of AR/VR input sensing systems in the lab and on humans
Build models to decode human input from complex multimodal sensor datasets
Lead, coach, and support a team of signal processing researchers and engineers by supporting their career growth, performance, productivity, and well-being
Collaborate with stakeholders across scientific and engineering disciplines and ensure the team is aligned with research direction and goals
Identify opportunities and employ quantitative research methods to define, iterate upon, and advance key areas of our research agenda around non-invasive physiological sensing systems
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience in human-computer interaction applications
Experience in the domain of machine learning, statistics, analysis, and real-time signal processing, physiological signal processing
Experience in hardware prototype design, development, and bring-up e.g. DAQs, microcontrollers
Communication and personal management skills
Experience leading and building teams and projects in a cross-functional industry environment
