Our Core Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future virtual, mixed, and augmented reality products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.
As an Engineering Manager in Core Tech you will lead, manage, inspire, and grow a diverse team responsible for ensuring we have outstanding calibration capabilities for all phases of research, design, engineering, and productization. You will collaborate deeply with experts across Meta including our partner teams responsible for delivering the Presence Platform (e.g. eye/face/hand/body/controller/position tracking) as well as our Product Design and Manufacturing teams to design calibration algorithms for next-generation VR/AR platforms. With your leadership, calibration will be a competitive advantage for Oculus and Meta.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5+ years professional experience architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services.
2+ years experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience thriving in a dynamic environment where goals and requirements may be changing.
Description(岗位职责)
Lead, coach, and grow a diverse team responsible for calibration and world locked rendering architecture, algorithms, and software.
Set clear expectations and create north-star aspirational goals.
Develop a positive work environment based on accountability and impact.
Tech leadership to develop, evaluate, understand, and implement cutting-edge calibration solutions.
Design software which enables calibration (both factory and on-device), world locked rendering, and platform to algorithm validation across manufacturing facilities.
Work with cross-functional partners to define robotic fixtures required for calibration.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines and geographies.
Recruit world-class talent and provide mentorship to team members.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience building calibration capabilities for integrated systems containing cameras, IMUs, lenses, and other components.
Background in Computer Vision - SLAM/PT, 3D reconstruction, object detection.
