Meta Reality Lab (RL) is dedicated to the research and development required to bring virtual and augmented reality to billions of people around the world. At RL, you will join a world-class team of dedicated EHS professionals in ensuring the safety and health of our internal customers. Every day, you will work alongside expert Research Scientists, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Software Engineers who are creating the technology that will make VR and AR pervasive and universal.
The Health & Safety Specialist builds collaborative and productive working relationships; networks with, and appropriately involves operations management, support functions and employees; influences operational decisions; and implements assignments that have an impact on operations. They will implement, administer, and sustain site-level safety programs and procedures per company requirements or applicable safety regulatory requirements or in collaboration with the Health & Safety Team. The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for conducting inspections, investigations, risk assessments, incident trending and implementing corrective action.
This is key position supporting our growing and complex R&D facilities.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS Degree
5+ years’ experience in Safety and Health
5+ years’ experience of applied site safety and health compliance management, including regulatory and consensus standards
Possess regulatory and technical safety knowledge as well as work well with limited supervision while being responsible for project management, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, and injury prevention
Willingness to prioritize and manage multiple & technically assignments concurrently
Willingness to effectively participate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse environment
Willingness to work effectively in teams
Willingness to be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, willingness to effectively present proposed plans and results to management
Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver, project management skills and focus on results
Description（岗位职责）
Partner and collaborate with the business and operations management, and support functions, to implement and administer safety programs, procedures, and practices
Conduct inspections, investigations – identify root cause and implement corrective actions Performs job hazard analysis and risk assessments and implement effective programs, procedures, practices, and standard work to ensure regulatory compliance and protect employees
This includes topics such as lab safety, chemical storage and handling, machine guarding and knowledge of automated equipment
Serve as back-up emergency response coordinator, key partnership with environmental, engineering, lab operations
Assist in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the workplace to ensure compliance with Company safety requirements and to provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, visitors, vendors, and guests
Conduct inspections, investigations, safety observations, and resulting mitigation activities that will identify, evaluate, and control unsafe health & safety hazards or risks
Evaluate safety metrics to discover trends for necessary corrective measures
