We are seeking innovative Optical Test Engineers with experience developing and deploying automated optical test solutions for innovative optical displays. This is a full-time position and requires a master’s level degree in optical engineering, physics or related degree and relevant experience. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic cross-functional team and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.


Masters degree or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics or related field

5+ years experience building optical display or camera test stations for mass production

5+ years of managing outside vendors, building SOWs, and delivering and supporting in-factory

Experienced putting fundamental optical characterization methods such as MTF into practice

Experience with statistical data analysis methods and tools including GR&R

Experience driving test for shipping products according to the PDP manufacturing process


Develop testing and metrology methods and stations for optical display calibration

Source and qualify appropriate optical characterization instruments

Work with partners to develop and optimize new calibration methods

Drive vendors to deliver automated test stations in-factory to support engineering schedule

Track record of improving station performance and reducing cost across builds

Collect and analyze test data to validate and optimize test stations

Travel 15%
