We seek a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who possesses strong knowledge in audio technology as well as good understanding of speaker/Mic fabrication technology for small consumer devices. In this role, you will partner with our suppliers, CMs, audio engineering team, along with other multidisciplinary teams, to explore, develop, and deliver new cutting-edge audio technologies into the audio subsystems AR, VR, Portal, and Accessories products. You will also lead build planning and execution, including establishing requirements & build goals, managing subsystem schedules, and identifying / tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of program & build status and risk to key stakeholders and executive leadership. Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required

BS in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant engineering discipline, physics, or equivalent experience

Experience as an engineering / technical program manager managing hardware programs from concept to mass production

2+ years experience working on HW Module projects

Understanding of phase gate approach to technology development projects

Hands-on engineering program management experience driving system and module level development as an individual contributor (especially in Mainland China)

Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects


Coordinate build activities from prototype through ramp in collaboration with the APAC engineering and operations teams

manage NTI/NPI sample deliveries

Effectively communicate build statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies

Coordinate with and train suppliers (foreign and domestic) to enforce development schedules, quality and manufacturing processes required during product development (Proto, EVT, and DVT)

Travel within Mainland China with some travel to Asia Pacific region and US Interface directly with supplier teams to drive development, including DFM, tooling/fixture processes, FAI/CPK qualification, reliability, production and shipment

Drive FA/RC/CA activities at suppliers and CMs

Participate in scoping and roadmap definition for next generation audio subsystems and modules

Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans

Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs

Assist engineering and sourcing teams with supplier evaluation and selection

Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review

Contribute to product development process and best practices for factory management

Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM suppliers or key component vendors

Experience and understanding requirements and development flow of building consumer electronics products

Experience with component, module, and subsystem qualification, validation and characterization processes
