Summary（岗位介绍）
We are seeking a seasoned Wireless Connectivity Standards Engineer that is an expert in WLAN Standards to represent Meta’s interest and strategy in various wireless networking standards bodies. You will be working in the standard bodies to develop all aspects of the end-to-end wireless networking solutions for AR/VR and Metaverse, and working with our AR/VR product teams to adopt and develop competitive solutions with interoperability.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent
8+ years experience in wireless (Wi-Fi/BT) MAC and above-layer protocol design
Extensive experience in WLAN (802.11n/ac/ax/be) standards development, and have proven track record in making effective contributions and technical initiatives
Experience in wireless network system architecture and protocol design, including hands-on industry experience
Experience with cross functional team communication and collaboration
Description（岗位职责）
Participate in IEEE 802 WLAN standardization and associated industry interoperability and specification programs, e.g. Wi-Fi Alliance.
Conduct protocol performance analysis and wireless solutions evaluation for AR/VR products. Define requirements, identify technical gaps, and create novel solutions for existing and future products.
Define and execute the strategy in standardization, and industry ecosystem development.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with broader wireless technologies and standards, including WiGig (11ad, 11ay), Bluetooth, 802.15, and cellular NR/5G, in addition to 802.11
Experience with leadership role in the standard development organization(s) and/or their task groups
Industry experience with MAC/PHY/RF design and system performance optimization
Broad knowledge/view of network stack (including above L2) and end-to-end network architecture and solutions
Experience in network simulation (e.g. ns3)
Software programming, familiar with C/C++, scripting, MATLAB
