Summary（岗位介绍）
The Environmental Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert to provide direction, guidance, and technical expertise for Reality Labs air and wastewater compliance program across the globe. The expectation of the role is to employ deep technical and functional expertise advising business units and providing practical application to ensure regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing RL’s industrial wastewater, stormwater and air programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and RL best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical expertise in global environmental compliance within areas such as: industrial wastewater, wastewater treatment system management, air registration, permitting review and management in a R&D environment. This position will report to the Global Environmental Program Manager.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, water or wastewater technology, civil engineering, or related scientific or engineering field
Advanced understanding of wastewater treatment and regulations
7+ years of wastewater and air, experience with managing, developing, and implementing programs
Experience communicating with all levels of employees
Description（岗位职责）
Provide environmental expertise and partner with diverse internal teams and stakeholders about relevant issues and requirements, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams where needed
Develop programs, SOPS, training and educational tools regarding environmental goals, compliance, and awareness
Maintain ongoing knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to RL operations including changes in environmental policy and regulations to assess and mitigate risks to the project portfolio
Manage multiple wastewater treatment systems, including oversight of maintenance, calibrations and staffing of Wastewater Technicians
Oversee and maintain records of compliance to analyze trends, prepare regulatory reports, document environmental obligations
Participate in emergency spill response team and conduct incident and system investigations, as needed
Determine air, stormwater and wastewater permit regulatory applicability for new sites and processes
Prepare and modify permitting packages for all air and water impacts, include preparation of reports for agency submittal

Masters in Science in environmental science, water or wastewater technology, civil engineering, or related scientific or engineering field
