The Meta Reality Labs Audio team is looking for an Audio and Acoustic Engineer to develop and ship cutting-edge technologies for extraordinary products and customer experiences. In this role, you will lead development of innovative capture system technologies from microphone sensors, product integrations, to microphone arrays and landing of new technologies in products to enable great customer experiences. You will apply your knowledge, experience and expertise to solve complex engineering and technological challenges and empower our customers to have elegant audio experiences throughout Meta products. Your innovation and creation will impact the product design connecting millions of people worldwide.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
BS in Audio, Acoustics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in audio system development of consumer electronic components or products or related
Solid understanding of electro-mechano-acoustic systems design and modeling
Experience in specification, design, prototyping, characterization validation and failure analysis of MEMS microphone acoustic performance
Knowledge of subsystems of consumer electronic products, including thermal, magnetics, RF, electronics, vibration etc.
Experience in using commercial numerical modeling tools, such as COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools
Familiarity with data acquisition tools, such as Audio Precision, Soundcheck, MATLAB/Simulink, Python or equivalent tools
Description(岗位职责)
Lead innovative New Technology Introduction (NTI) projects and push the boundaries of physics to improve audio capture system performance against constraints
Translate technological challenges into audio experience impact and influence the landing of developed technologies into product development
Adapt acoustics fundamentals to solve complex engineering and technology challenges and advance the audio capture Technologies
Explore novel transduction principles for microphones by design, simulation, prototyping and validation enabling new acoustics features from concept to productization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, design robust acoustic capture systems with microphones, arrays and solve coexistence with other sub-systems
Partner with technology vendors and cross-functional teams, develop microphone acoustic/electric/mechanical/reliability specifications that meet NTI project requirements
Cooperate with ME/EE, design prototypes and develop validation measurements for system design verification
Conduct acoustic simulations, lab validation tests and data analysis
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
MS or PhD in engineering: audio, acoustics, physics, mechanical, electrical or related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in audio system development of consumer electronic components or products or related
Experience in MEMS microphone design, fabrication, packaging, and testing technologies
Deep in MEMS microphone multiphysics modeling, including acoustics, structures, microfluidics, etc.
Experience in microphone and array integration into consumer product development
Knowledge of solving large and complex models with high performance computing
Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation
Knowledge of other sensors, such as ultrasound , pressure, IMU etc.
