As an Engineering Manager on the Presence Platform you will lead, manage and inspire engineering teams developing the next-generation platform for AR and VR development. As a hands-on leader, you will support the design and development of the XR Runtime, the core component which coordinates XR services on FRL devices and applications via OpenXR. The ideal candidate is an experienced people manager with a background in cross platform engine/SDK development and has a passion for bringing technologies together through open standards.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

7+ years experience working on systems software in a large-scale C or C++ code base.

3+ years experience managing and growing software engineers.

Experience building real time systems.

Experience with processes including: source control, bug tracking, design documentation, and sprint planning based Software Development.

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools.

Description(岗位职责)

Manage a team of software engineers that builds the core runtime on FRL’s XR devices Be both a technical leader in VR systems software and a people manager.

Manage engineers and help them develop their careers, assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams.

Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.

Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.

Work closely with dedicated recruiting staff to expand the team, including sourcing candidates, interviewing candidates, participating in conferences/events, and on-boarding new employees.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Demonstrated knowledge of Operating Systems internals on at least one platform.

Experience with machine learning acceleration hardware.

Experience with developing for ARM based platforms.
