Summary(岗位介绍)

Ready At Dawn is looking for a Technical Designer to join us in creating an immersive narrative action adventure VR experience. The Technical Designer collaborates with design, engineering, art, and production teams to spearhead the creation of new features, gameplay elements, and even development tools.

An ideal candidate is a self-starting problem-solver with strong skills in design and communication, and possesses significant comfortability with technical workflows (e.g. scripting).

Qualifications(岗位要求)

3+ years experience as a game developer, with a history that includes both design and technical work

Experience shipping at least one game in either a designer or engineering role

Experience in at least one logical expression system (e.g. a visual scripting system like Unreal Blueprint, or a programming language like C#)

Experience with 3-D game development pipelines and architectures across both artistic and technical disciplines

Experience directly with 3-D assets for technical and gameplay purposes

Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team

Experience taking feedback from peers, managers, and playtesters

Communication skills

Description(岗位职责)

Working hand in hand with other developers to build new features, offering support from conception to prototyping to final shipping

Discuss both design and technical concepts at a high level, in both formal and impromptu settings

Act as a bridge between content-focused personnel and technically-focused personnel, while representing the design perspective to each

Building sustainable technical infrastructures to help support various elements of game design and implementation

Leverage broad game-development acumen to help the team determine not just what to build, but how to build it

Collaborate with peers to develop critical game elements that they will then use to produce content

Actively work to refine game elements, both in terms of “player feel” and runtime performance

Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and organize work to meet objectives

Adapt to the rapidly shifting nature of the industry and its technologies

Show a passion for not just designing games, but constructing them too
