We are looking for an experienced individual who can drive root-cause analysis in the field of Photonics. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional partners on complex technical projects in the field of advanced photonics, laser technology, semiconductor and opto-electronics.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
3+ years of industry experience in advanced photonics (theory and design) and laser technology
Experience in characterization of fiber-chip couplers, on-chip optical devices including semiconductor laser technology, optical gain components, micro resonators, modulators
Experience in sample preparation, analytical and characterization tools such as SEM, TEM FTIR, FIB, cross sectioning, etc.
Communication and presentation skills
Description(岗位职责)
Perform detailed root cause analysis on technically complex failures or design issues
Identify and define experiment and mitigation plans to solve complex technical problems
Cross-correlate data from various techniques to drive towards conclusions
Hands-on work with various tools including microscopy, spectroscopy, and thermal techniques
Some domestic/international travel may be required
Apply, improve, and develop methodologies for analyzing complex failures in photonics integrated circuits (PIC)
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or MS degree in Physics or Engineering with 6+ years of relevant industry experience
Knowledge of integrated optical devices
Experience and in-depth understanding of semiconductor (silicon and III-V) and nano fabrication processes and the associated failure mechanisms (FEOL ad BEOL) for opto-ASIC products
Experience with software solutions such as OptoCompiller, Mentor Graphics, Altium, KLayout
