Our Manufacturing Data Intelligence team is seeking data engineers who are confident about working with complex datasets and passionate about discovering useful but hidden information about our product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and design reliability.
The Data Engineer will help define the data schema from production test and supply chain, build a platform for collection, transport, storage, and processing. Drive architecture, design, development, and deployment of data models, pipelines, correlation analysis tools, dashboards, as well as health monitoring systems. Apply machine learning across large datasets, and continuously improve workflows and reporting. This role requires a solid foundation in data mining techniques, scripting, databases, as well as an understanding of operations and quality methods. Strong technical, presentation, and organizational skills are critical.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment. You will help enforce data capacity planning and optimal data transport. This position will have responsibilities for NPI test development phase as well as sustaining support of production data. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. We are looking for someone with a productive mindset who can apply their expertise to solve problems in creative, insightful ways.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years of work experience in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent programming language.
Experience translating data insights into a clear and compelling narrative with practical outcomes and communication skills.
Expertise in statistical data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, sampling methods, and causal inference.
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R/Python and various data processing and Machine Learning libraries. Experience with R, MATLAB, and JMP is valuable.
SQL expertise, data modeling, and data governance in relational databases. Skilled at database design, development, and optimization.
Experience using ETL/ELT tools and technologies.
Solid understanding of cloud native solutions and Data Security on Cloud based applications.
Experience in producing powerful visualizations and dashboards that combine information richness, precision, and yet simplicity.
Experience partnering with internal teams to drive results and providing expertise and direction on analytics, data science, experimental design, and measurement.
Experience partnering with contract manufacturers in high-volume production. Experience traveling to manufacturing sites.
Experience designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems.
Knowledge in statistical methods (6s, SPC, Cpk) for data analysis in production control processes.
Description（岗位职责）
Take ownership of data engineering projects, SW tools, data pipes, dashboards.
Conduct end-to-end analysis across factory data sources, schemas, capacity, piping, and database efficiency.
Leverage data from large and complex datasets, and drive analysis using advanced methods.
Work with internal partners and cross-functional teams to define and refine business requirements. Build plans for design, implementation, deployment, and support of these data products.
Identify key design and manufacturing variables that impact operations performance and the customer experience. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to contribute to root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Develop extensive knowledge of existing metrics. Build new metrics for performance measurement and advocate for changes to existing metrics where needed.
Lead data science and analytics projects throughout product life cycles.
Partner with data science peers across Meta to build and prototype data pipelines and analysis methods to drive insights at scale.
Build cross-company communities while socializing adoption of best practices, and create greater awareness of the value of data analytics.
Push timely and concise updates to the executive team on data intelligence.
Some domestic and International travel may be required. Up to 20%.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree (MS).
Experience with data visualization frameworks such as D3 and Looker.
5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role in the areas of data mining, statistics, machine learning, or related fields. Experience crafting, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting experiments and investigations. Experience in Operations or High Volume Consumer Electronics.
Experience using data forensics to solve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues while minimizing test costs through deliberate analysis of test purpose.
