Summary（岗位介绍）
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to bring expert automation, controls, robotics, and mechatronics knowledge to factory testing and calibration.
As a Test Fixture Automation Engineer, you will define, develop, and implement automated material handling and load/unloading processes for our factory testing and calibration stations. You will partner closely with Hardware Test Engineering, System Industrial Engineering, and our Manufacturing partners to build towards fully automated factory testing lines from the ground up.
This is a new position that not only provides many opportunities to exercise your robotics/automation experience, but will also allow you to pioneer and set the direction for high volume test and calibration automation systems within Meta.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in designing and deploying automation systems used in material handling, load/unloading, pick and place, and conveyance systems.
Successfully developed and deployed an automation system for at least one high volume production line.
Experience in complex automation development, including but not limited to the following: automation layout, robotics programming and simulation, machine vision, sensor integration, automation safety.
Expertise in tuning a broad range of motion control systems (servos, robotics, transducers, and/or voice coils).
Knowledgeable in controls infrastructure (field bus networks, serial communications, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, or similar between machines).
Experience in creating technical specifications and documentation for automation equipment, machine qualification requirements, maintenance, FMEA, design of experiments, and failure analysis.
New product introduction and manufacturing operations experience.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in both Mandarin and English.
Ability to communicate effectively in a worldwide team environment.
Description（岗位职责）
Identify and define full on automation opportunities for next generation AR/VR products in the factory test and calibration space.
Define and draft standardized automation specifications for test fixtures, controls infrastructure, and automation systems.
Create request for quotation and proposals (RFQ/RFPs) and engages in 3rd party automation suppliers or contract manufacturers for automation design reviews and proposals. Leads down-selection of proposals.
Create necessary design and qualification documentations such as FMEA, machine qualification requirements, and acceptance testing protocols.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and key stakeholders during the NPI phases, making sure the automation developments are within the project schedule, scope, cost, and risk levels.
Keep up to date with the newest industrial automation technologies and trends and incorporates them into appropriate applications.
Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer locations for equipment bing-up, qualification, acceptance testing, debugging, on-site support, and audits.
Travel required: up to 50%.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
7+ years of experience in designing and deploying automation systems used in material handling, load/unloading, pick and place, and conveyance systems.
Proven track record for deploying automation systems over multiple products and production lines, preferably in consumer electronics.
Knowledge of CAD software (NX a plus).
Working knowledge of GD&T principles.
Hands-on manufacturing test experience.
Programming experience.
