This position will manage a cross-functional team of engineering development professionals in the areas of Packaging, Thermal and Mechanical Simulation, Advanced Materials, in APAC, spanning multiple disciplines in these areas, supporting the product teams building the future AR/VR products.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading multi-functional, highly complex, consumer electronics product teams – having successfully brought these products to market. The candidate should have direct experience with new technologies in multiple areas, working to support new capabilities and growing teams across disciplines.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills along with a comprehensive understanding of cross-functional interconnectedness and deliverables to enable the realisation of complex AR/VR products. Candidate must have keen focus on driving business results, ability to work in ambiguous/less defined environments, and strong willingness to collaborate and optimise overall business objectives.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Track record and demonstrated leadership in supporting nascent consumer hardware technologies into successful mass-market consumer products.
Experience thinking strategically and executing methodically in an entrepreneurial environment.
5+ years’ people management experience including managing remotely across regions, mechanical or materials engineering development, within Consumer Electronics industry.
Collaboration and relationship-building experience, working with all levels of management and individual contributors internally and externally.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Description（岗位职责）
Build up and lead the team with Materials engineers, Thermal and Structural simulation, packaging engineers in APAC.
Lead a group of hardware engineers to support our Portal, VR and AR product families across the spectrum of functions in this group.
Work with the corresponding partners in the US to support engineering activities in APAC.
Work together with APAC Mechanical Engineering team and Operation teams in technical issues analysis, from materials, simulation and packaging to impact the product success.
Organisational experience partnering with XFN leaders, HR and recruiting to develop and execute on a strategy to attract, retain and develop top talent.
Provide support, growth and guidance to the team.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years’ experience in team management.
Experience in AR/VR or other high-tech wearables products.
Experience or knowledge on packaging engineering.
