At Reality Labs (RL), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Manager, HW Product Engineering to join and lead the Engineering team with MEs, EEs, whose mission is to design, build, and test prototype electro-mechanical systems for future consumer AR experiences. The successful candidate will lead an engineering function to explore new concepts through fast iterative prototyping, and developing novel solutions. The candidate will work cross-functionally with global teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and research experts. The candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
We are looking for candidates who have good collaboration skills, able to brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, drive new concepts into designs, and thrive in ambiguity.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Good hands-on technical skillsets.
Possess System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience in managing a team of engineers.
Experience of leading nascent consumer hardware technologies into successful mass-market consumer products.
Experience of leading multiple functional team members to drive project development from concept to mass production.
Collaborative and good relationship-building experience with other cross functional teams internally and externally.
Experience in successfully partnering with manufacturing teams and suppliers to develop and deliver high quality products.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead the combination of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering activities in a cross-functional hardware team.
Lead a team that will drive the exploration of solutions for wearable and AR products.
Manage a wide variety of stakeholders while leading process definition.
Collaborate in a team environment across multi engineering disciplines.
Incubate new technologies into prototypes and mass production.
Provide assignments, direction and manage team priorities.
Provide management, career guidance and mentorship to the team.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
10+ years’ experience with Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
8+ years’ experience in managing a team with multiple functions.
Proven track record in leading cross functional teams to execute product development on schedule.
Independent, strong in managing priorities, good problem solving skills resulting in creative/innovative solutions.
