In Meta Reality Labs, we’re building the next generation of devices and experiences that bring people closer, bridging time and space to create meaningful connections between people. This includes Quest and Portal products, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) software and content, as well as research and development labs. The Reality Labs group brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale.

We are currently seeking a Product Design Director to lead our Engagement and Growth Design teams for Virtual Reality. In this role, you’ll be a foundational member on the leadership team, working together with your partners in engineering, product management, data science, UX research, content design, and other disciplines to define the strategy, operations, and communications that guide the team to build great products addressing real user needs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing highly engaging and retentive software platforms, ecosystems, or social networks. You will define and execute strategies for maximizing Quest users enjoyment of their products, and connect them to the most relevant and exciting experiences while in VR or while connected to the Metaverse on 2D devices. You will define and execute strategies to grow the Quest user base and deliver value to users everytime they put on the headset. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured environment is critical. This person must be comfortable guiding teams, freelancers, agencies, and production partners, but should be willing to roll up the sleeves and go deep into the details with the team.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

6+ years of leadership experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership, including hiring and developing senior managers and individual contributors.

6+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams.

Senior people management, team development, recruiting and org building experience.

Experience growing a strategic design practice within design teams.

Nurture a tight collaborative leadership model with product management and engineering to co-lead a mission critical program.

Drive collaboration and vision across the company to build alignment on priorities leading to product design and execution.

Shape the product roadmap, both short term and long-term.

Develop design talent and build a thriving culture where designers grow in their careers and feel a strong sense of inclusion and belonging.

Design and scale the organization and equip the team for success in their goals.

Foster a strong, collaborative design practice.
