We are seeking innovative Optical Test Engineers with experience developing and deploying automated optical test solutions for innovative optical displays.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master's degree or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Experience building optical display or camera test/characterization methods.
Experience working with software optical simulation tools such as Zemax.
Understanding of how to work with vendors/optical tool suppliers.
Experienced putting fundamental optical characterization methods such as MTF into practice.
Experience with statistical data analysis methods and software tools.
Experience building/evaluating optical systems to a delivery timeline.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description(岗位职责)
Develop testing and metrology methods and stations for optical display calibration
Source and qualify appropriate optical characterization instruments
Work with partners to develop and optimize new calibration methods
Drive vendors to deliver automated test stations in-factory to support engineering schedule
Track record of improving station performance and reducing cost across builds
Collect and analyze test data to validate and optimize test stations
Willing to travel 15%
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, or fellowships, as well as first-authored publications in optical digests
Experience working with station assemblies in SolidWorks
2+ years coding experience in Python
AR/VR experience
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
