Meta’s Augmented Reality (AR) team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our systems will enable AR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire system architecture from silicon, through firmware and hardware sub-systems, to system level performance.
As a Opto-Mechanical Design Verification Engineer in Meta’s AR Product Hardware team, you will work with a world-class group of researchers and engineers to own the opto-mechanical system level verification of our products focusing on the camera sensors and displays. You will work closely with researchers, architects, and designers in defining our methods of camera and display opto-mechanical verification for multiple state-of-the-art systems. You will use your verification skills to define verification requirements, create test cases, design and implement the testing infrastructure, execute the testing and report the results for the new product designs.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years of optical, display or camera verification for consumer electronics or equivalent experience
Experience developing custom mechanical fixtures for manual and automated testing
Experience with optical precision alignment test equipment
Experience with basic mechanical and electrical test equipment
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Description（岗位职责）
Define and develop camera and display mechanical interface verification methodologies
Evaluate the mechanical stability of the camera pointing angles while under thermal and physical stressors
Perform camera and display opto-mechanical verification activities, analyze collected data and asses details of results
Identify opto-mechanical performance issues and assist with root cause analysis
Define and track detailed test plans for the different modules and top level systems
Define, architect, design and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure
Design custom opto-mechanical test fixtures
Support system bring up and debug activities
Clearly communicate test plans and results
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Understanding of the metrics of camera performance (image quality, color, sharpness, contrast, dynamic range, uniformity, distortion, noise, texture acutance, etc.)
Experience with definition and owning of product verification requirements
Experience with definition, architecture, design, and driving implementation of test automation
Experience with assessing the impact of thermal, vibration, and physical stresses on camera and display systems
C#, Python, and LabView development experience
Experience using Nx solid modeling software
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in optics
