As the Product Manager for Microsoft Mesh device programs, you will have three primary responsibilities — assessing product opportunities, defining the business needs roadmap, and orchestrating the launch of products into the marketplace. This role requires leading through influence, orchestrating and aligning work done by many various teams including various engineering teams (e.g., Experience Development, Services/Runtimes, and Devices), our design & UX research team, and our key stakeholders across business planning, marketing, and finance.

  • 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.

Description(岗位职责)

  • Analysing customer, market, and competitive signals to determine new product/capability opportunities and to ensure that our products/services are well positioned in the market to address clear customer needs/pain points
  • Driving opportunity assessments for new device related products and capabilities

to determing if it is something worth pursuing and evaluating/ranking it against other potential opportunities

  • For prioritized opportunities, partnering with the user research & design team to discover and define the solution value proposition, including necessary differentiators and business criteria (e.g, determining minimal viable product, minimal lovable product, etc.)
  • Defines the business impact, success criteria, and performance metrics (e.g., OKR’s, KPI’s, etc.) around areas such as acquisiton, usage/engagement, retention, revenue, profitability, etc. and gains alignment across engingeering and stakeholder leadership.
  • Drives the product opportunity roadmap partnering with engineering to align on timing and with marketing and communications on the disclosure of the roadmap to both internal and external stakedholders and customers/partners.
  • Collaborates with engineering to define and build golden-path scenarios and provides product demonstrations, feature previews, and roadmap reviews with customers and partners to drive engagement and to gather feedback and inform product direction and launch planning.
  • Collaborates with product marketing, business planning, and engineering to drive our launch and early go to market efforts assisting in key areas such as business model, pricing/packaging, value proposition, core messaging, customer examples/case studies, product demos and launch planning.
