Meta is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to drive awareness and excitement for Meta’s VR products that enable better productivity, collaboration, and work.

This person will develop communications strategies, plans and narratives to show both consumers and businesses how VR can transform the way they work today. The person will also collaborate with other teams within communications and across Meta to shape broader stories on how VR will revolutionize work in the future metaverse.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of experience with both B2B and B2C products, with a strong ability to bring together multiple roadmaps and initiatives into a unified narrative. This person should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and capable of moving quickly in fluid situations. They should excel at working across multiple internal and external teams, and possess a talent for translating nuanced business strategies into clear messaging and plans.


Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or a related field

8+ years of experience working in PR or communications roles

Experience planning and executing proactive communication campaigns independently


Develop creative communications strategies and proactive initiatives to illustrate how VR uniquely helps individuals and businesses get things done.

Educate the public, press and influencers about Meta’s VR for Work products and initiatives.

Plan and execute launches for VR work-related products and services.

Create messaging that will resonate with early-adopting consumers and companies.

Support and build relationships with third-party partners (developers, customers) via communication moments that champion the ecosystem of productivity & collaboration on Quest.

Partner closely with communications counterparts in other product groups such as Portal and Workplace to build company-level stories on how Meta supports businesses and workers.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, policy, legal, editorial, social, partnerships and sales.

Build and organize up-to-date repositories of resources such as assets, case studies, and media contacts.

Manage media relationships and handle reactive press inquiries.

Plan and execute press briefings and events, prepare briefing materials and coach spokespeople/executives.

Familiarity with business, enterprise, and/or SMB audiences

Experience working on AR/VR technologies, consumer hardware products, productivity/collaboration software, and/or emerging tech categories

Experience with privacy & security elements of product communications

Proficiency with media relations and placements across business, tech and consumer press
