Apple AR/VR Job | Graphics Framework Engineer – Apple Maps Display Team

The Maps Display team is looking for innovative and creative software engineers to help drive breakthrough developments in interactive computer graphics. We are looking for team members who are curious about rendering, system architecture, and performance and are able to bring to bear their existing experience in the development of a next-generation map rendering framework.

High proficiency in C or C++
5+ years of production-level experience successfully delivering solutions
Passionate about software design and architecture
Experience profiling and optimizing performance of complex systems
Excellent verbal and written communication
Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals
We are the Maps team that is responsible for developing the industry-leading 3D experience for Apple Maps and our developers! We are looking for versatile engineers who are passionate about building products for millions of customers around the World. As a member of our team, you will be working on ground-breaking technology to develop algorithms and techniques that provide a spectacular user-experience across a range of use-cases and applications. Together, we will craft the next-generation graphics engine and work closely with our design team to deliver outstanding interactive graphics experiences.
While the following skills are not required, one or more of the below would be helpful in this role:
* Experience solving problems in Computational Geometry
* Experience working with graphics engines like Unreal/Unity/In-house
* Experience with either DirectX/Vulkan/OpenGL/Metal
* Experience developing AR/VR products
