Summary（岗位介绍）
Reality Labs at Meta is seeking a Documentation Engineering Manager. Our team is focused on supporting developers building Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) applications. This person will support the existing team tasked with building our complex technical development guides and references. This role will be responsible for not only managing the overall team, hiring new team members and supporting their growth, but also setting the strategy, direction and communication of a team with a mission to enable developers at scale to build experiences that delight users. You’ll work with Reality Labs product and engineering leadership to establish priorities, developer content strategy and communicate regular updates on what’s happening with the team and space. You will be responsible for ensuring solid partnerships, steady growth, and measurable impact. This is a full-time position.
Documentation is a priority focus for Meta’s Reality Labs organization as we scale and support a growing product catalogue. The Documentation Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to underpin this growth through key technical initiatives and alignment.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
8+ years experience in technical documentation, and/or developer outreach for a developer audience
2+ years of experience managing a team
2+ years of experience independently driving technical documentation projects and authoring tools
Experience organizing content in a logical flow
Demonstrated experience in comprehensive technical documentation, proofreading, and editing
Experience partnering with Engineering leadership to establish priorities, strategy, and communicate regular updates on documentation initiatives
Proficiency in technical documentation across multiple programming languages based on an understanding of coding and object-oriented design principles
Experience defining, measuring, and being accountable for key metrics and performance indicators around the effectiveness of documentation
Description（岗位职责）
Manage a high-performing team to create engaging and effective documentation for eternal application developers
Partner with Engineering and other cross-functional leadership to establish priorities, strategy, and communicate regular updates on documentation initiatives
Manage expectations of all interested parties: define clear schedules with key deliverables and milestone dates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall documentation deliverables
Develop and implement key performance indicators to track progress to key metrics and goals Hire and develop new documentation team members
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication or a related discipline
Experience writing code
Knowledge of the game development process
Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
Working knowledge of C++ and/or C#
