The position is a senior leader developing our Reality Labs Japan retail channel strategy. This person will be charged with developing a comprehensive sales strategy as a subset of the overall organisational vision. The candidate will possess superior analytical and leadership skills and have the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Finance teams to deliver first class consumer experience to our partners in Japan. Building relationships internally as well as externally is absolutely vital to success in the role. This candidate is versed in the retail landscape, with key senior relationships already established. The candidate will also be required to personally manage distributor and/or retail accounts on a day to day basis.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
10+ years in a senior sales role with a clear record of quota achievement and success in technology based consumer sales
3+ years of consumer sales leadership and people management experience
Previous experience and clear understanding of the Japan retail landscape
Experience in go-to-market planning and execution across online and traditional retail channels
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a strong business acumen
Passionate advocate for innovation and the opportunities presented by disruptive technologies
Understanding of the market is essential, industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Description(岗位职责)
Direct and manage Reality Labs business activities with top tier retail partners, implementing effective retail strategy and programs to meet organization goals
Lead, recruit, develop and manage a team of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) to support sales activities to meet annual targets. Candidate will also lead the channel marketing team for Japan as well.
Develop and maintain executive account relationships leading Top to Top planning discussions
Create and present account strategy to executives and internal / external stakeholders to align resources and achieve mutual goals
Negotiate and present account programs / contracts, gaining internal alignment and approvals with cross functional partners (finance, legal, operations, etc)
Build and grow relationships with cross functional leaders (Channel Operations, Sales Enablement, Sales Analytics, Category) to long term retail strategy in Japan.
Lead & execute JBP process, QBRs and launch planning activities to meet sales objectives within agreed upon budgets and KPIs
Spearhead retail business development efforts throughout the region, with an emphasis on cultivating new and existing clients
Establish and maintain effective sales/distribution channels in Japan
Define, communicate, and direct the strategic growth priorities
Build the team to achieve the region’s goals and objectives
Build strong, effective relationships with all functional areas of the company
Foster an environment of continuous improvement, continuous learning, and collaboration
Review and analyze sales performance against plan to determine effectiveness
Precise communication to all stakeholders, internal and external, is essential.
Be the internal champion and subject matter expert for Japan retail partners
Develop and maintain executive relationships with key retail, distributor, and vendor partners in the market.
Own all inventory planning with forecast management for the Japan territory in partnership with Sales Enablement and Sales ops teams.
Support quarterly co-marketing allocation and reconciliation process
Review Sell in / Out data to identify new opportunities within existing product ranges.
Plan all new product launches in collaboration with marketing and business operations, deliver clear and concise communication and plan to partners
Work closely with Operations to implement a CPFR process with retail and distributor partners
