Employer will accept a Ph.D. degree in Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, or a related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course/research project/internship/thesis, or 6 months of experience, in each of the following:
Working with large scale data in multi-method studies
Collecting and analyzing user behavior data through a variety of channels, such as user testing, semi-formal interviews, observation, surveys, A/B testing and log analysis
Conducting research using qualitative methods and quantitative methods
Survey research including questionnaire design, sampling, and analysis
Presenting qualitative and quantitative results in a creative manner
Experimental design methods
Applied statistical analysis
Design studies and surveys that address both user behavior and attitudes
Research how people communicate online
Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs
Conduct research through a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys, observations, interviews, and other sources
Analyze and draw conclusions from the data collected, and communicate the results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
Incorporate user experience design, data, research, and behavior habits to develop and enhance experiences of products
Conduct applied product research, and focus on directly relevant research topics to understand users behaviors, motivations, and attitudes on using the products
Define the user model, and research how humans use technology products and how products need to be technologically and technically developed to meet user needs
Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
