Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) is seeking an experienced Director, Technical Facilities & Labs. The Director, Technical Facilities & Labs will provide global strategy for Labs, Research Facilities, and all other technical and specialty spaces within our global office footprint. The candidate will work with our current offices to determine how to best utilize space allocated to Technical research & development and work with our Real Estate & Development teams to build the new spaces required to keep teams productive. This position will oversee space allocation, expansion approval, equipment validation and installation, and preventative maintenance for global specialty spaces and equipment across locations in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelors in business or technical related field
15+ years experience managing Technical Facilities and the support Operations Teams required for these facilities
Description（岗位职责）
Direct a team of lab techs around the world to support FRL’s technology development and testing
Audit and develop a comprehensive global lab and technical facility strategy informing growth, budget, and make/buy decisions
Develop and implement preventative maintenance program for laboratory and shop equipment including all non-base building assets
Partner with base-building facilities support to ensure seamless execution of maintenance, equipment installations and change management
Inform internal Space Planning, Lab Planning, Construction, and Operations teams with validations for requested expansions and new equipment procurement
Develop and oversee implementation of contract facilities support to execute management of equipment and tools
Compare current and requested equipment against the changing product roadmap to ensure that the budget is spent with biggest impact purchases
Establish a high degree of customer service to laboratory operations teams
Utilize KPIs to measure program including the performance of contract support teams
Ensure regulatory requirements
