Summary(岗位介绍)

Reality Labs is looking for interns to advance our pioneering work in neuromotor interfaces, which has grown out of the acquisition of CTRL-labs. This technology could become one of the main pillars for interaction with the virtual and augmented world. Help us unleash human potential by erasing the bottlenecks between user intent and action. In this role you will embed with a world-class team of engineers and research scientists investigating the nature of human neuromotor signals (EMG) and working to design, prototype, and evaluate novel hardware for next generation human-machine interactions.

Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long, and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in the fields of HMI/BCI, biomedical engineering, biophysics, systems neuroscience, or similar.

Strong research-oriented implementation skills, including comfort working with prototype hardware and fluency in scientific analysis methods (Python preferred).

Enthusiasm for experimental design and applied research.

Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Description(岗位职责)

Plan and execute cutting-edge applied research to advance HMI capabilities.

Collaborate with engineering and science teams to translate fundamental scientific knowledge into new technology.

Use quantitative research methods to define, iterate upon and advance key areas of our hardware research agenda.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.

Strong scientific communication skills, including familiarity with scientific communication tools (jupyter, matplotlib).

Experience with mechanical or electrical design of real-world systems.
