Facebook Reality Labs – Mobile Vision is seeking Research Interns to join various teams in advancing the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning by making fundamental advances in technologies to help interact with and understand our world.Our interns have an opportunity to make core algorithmic advances and apply their ideas at an unprecedented scale. Many of our interns publish at top tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV. We are seeking individuals passionate in areas such as deep learning, computer vision, audio and speech processing, natural language processing, and machine learning.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
1 year experience in machine learning and optimization.
Fluency in Python or other related language.
Familiarity with deep learning libraries, like PyTorch.
Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning methods
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description（岗位职责）
Perform research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines.
Perform research that enables learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio, and other modalities).
Potential research topics: Data-efficient learning, e.g., semi-supervised learning, self-training, self-supervised learning, federated learning, etc. Efficient computer vision: Building state-of-the-art efficient computer vision models for classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, depth estimation, etc. through techniques such as novel architecture design, advanced training recipe, neural architecture search, language-supervised learning, transfer learning, etc., 3D computer vision: Multi-task learning, Other emerging research areas
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
A strong interest in theoretical and empirical research and for answering hard questions with research.
Publications in top tier conference venues, like NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, etc.
Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).
Intent to return to degree- program after the completion of the internship.
