Summary（岗位介绍）
Meta Reality Labs is looking for an intern with experience in sensor fusion and tracking to help us improve interactions with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) devices. You will explore and implement algorithms to utilize sensor streams to track the states of the user and/or device. You will work with world-leading collaborators and mentors in the AR/VR & HCI fields.
Our internship is twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
PhD candidate in robotics, engineering, computer science, or related field.
Excellent research skills involving defining problems, exploring solutions, and analyzing and presenting results.
Proficiency in C++, Matlab, or Python.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Plan and execute cutting-edge research to advance AR/VR interaction technologies in the areas of sensor fusion, calibration, and tracking.
Collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and user experience researchers to prototype hardware and software solutions, and run experiments to advance the project.
Work with leading academic researchers in the field. The work should result in publishable research that appears in top-tier journals or at leading international conferences.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Experience with sensor fusion (e.g. IMUs, depth sensor, CV) and its real time applications.
Experience with hand tracking or human body tracking.
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
