Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Media Arts and Technology, Applied Science, Computer Science or related field. Experience and/or education must include: 1. AR/VR experience 2. APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for AR/VR framework and system engineering, focusing on low-level scheduling, optimization and software instrumentation for latency critical 3D systems. Develop real-time test scenarios to stress test and visualize performance problems. Participate end-to-end in the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, software design and architecture, project planning, software development and documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance. Write code to improve scheduling and performance and implement software instrumentation in frameworks and system applications. Implement user interfaces to visualize the performance metrics in real-time. Implement test applications to stress test and visualize system performance. Document software architecture and specifications using appropriate techniques and diagrams. Write code comments to allow developers to understand algorithms. Write API comments that can be used to generate documentation. Write unit tests to test code. Write integration tests to test code as part of the larger codebase. Test code on the target hardware platforms. Execute pull requests for software engineers. Work with infrastructure teams to ensure that code is integrated into the continuous integration system and that tests are run as part of the build process. Work with QA teams to ensure the codebase can be tested. Triage, debug, and fix customer bugs. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141378 – $208300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
