Reality Labs Research (RL-R) brings together a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to create the future of augmented and virtual reality. On the Codec Avatars Research team, you’ll work in collaboration with engineers and researchers to capture, store, and process the large amounts of data needed to enable the generation of Codec Avatars.

Our team cultivates an honest and considerate environment where self-motivated individuals thrive. We encourage a strong sense of ownership and embrace the ambiguity that comes with working on the frontiers of research.

In this Systems Engineer role on Codec Avatars Research Team, you will foster our early stage scientific explorations and build confidence in research vectors. You will be responsible for the intake of requirements from researchers and engineers, work with TPM’s to manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Communication and technical aptitude are critical in this role as you will be the liaison between researchers, operations teams, and electrical/mechanical/firmware/software engineers, and you will assist with determining project priority and feasibility.
