The Media Production Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for building and deploying new user interfaces, production tools, and supporting technical infrastructure to create compelling on-air content. The candidate will be a go-to technical resource for identifying future technical trends, ensuring the content creation systems and workflow overlay always exceeds the creative, technical and rigorous quality standards required of Apple projects.

Qualifications(岗位要求)
5+ years of experience working in the following areas:
Architecting, operating, and managing professional graphics and replay systems in production environments such as high profile sports, music, or entertainment.
Supporting full stack broadcast graphics workflows from asset creation, data integration, versioning, and storage, through engine integration and output rendering.
Managing professional video replay and playout workflows. Supporting event capture, replay and storage of media, as well as complex file based asset interchange between teams.
Hands on operational experience and technical expertise working with UHD, HDR, HFR, and IP based live and file based video, audio, and graphics production technologies.
Technical commissioning, user operation, and in-situ troubleshooting of media production hardware, software and protocols typical of media production environments.
Conducting quality control of all production elements such such as broadcast graphics, replay feeds, as well as file storage and backup.
Excellent troubleshooting skills while under time and resource constraints with strong prioritization and triage skills.
Working in international, highly metropolitan, and underdeveloped locations as key technical staff. This role may require 50% travel both domestically & internationally. It will be physically demanding at all times.
Description(岗位职责)
The Media Production Pipeline Engineer will join a team of technical and creative stakeholders working on a wide variety of projects for Apple. In support of these efforts, this individual will exercise their previous media production expertise for initial system design, deployment, on-site user operation, and post-operational support of the various media production technologies used to create compelling content.
You will find yourself actively involved overseeing the technical aspects of graphics and video asset creation, integration of these assets into and through the live production pipeline, as well as guaranteeing the proper feedback of assets created during the live event back into the post production pipeline for derivative use. The candidate is expected to be knowledgable in first-principals workflow bringup and operation of live production graphics, replay, and other media production systems used in highly dynamic and time critical production environments. The candidate will be expected to troubleshoot complex technological and creative workflow challenges in real time, with an ability to clearly communicate issues and offer solutions on the fly.
The Media Production Pipeline Engineer will also serve as a domain expert and a savvy, hands-on technician in their field, keeping up on the latest and greatest in media production technology to engineer improvements to current workflow, bring up of R&D and test systems, as well as work with a wide variety of internal and external engineering teams and technology vendors to drive innovation in next generation media production capabilities.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
-Experience working with professional grade production tools including but not limited to: broadcast graphics engines, video game engines, replay and playout servers, high capacity media storage, data API providers, NLE and DAWs, media encoders, system monitoring and telemetry.
-SW development experience building custom scripts, web interfaces, and other UI elements to streamline regular production tasks or device management
-Strong familiarity with SMPTE 2110 IP audio and video workflows.
-Strong IT skills as applicable to typical media production engineering tasks - Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP networking and standards
-Experience with ‘ground up’ system design and system integration.
-Experience in REMI (remote integration) based production environments.
-QC of media signals in a media production environment for noise, compression artifacts, sensor based issues, quantization errors, aliasing, audio/video sync, etc.
