Apple’s Vision Products Group is looking for a highly motivated Build Triage Engineer to help drive the build and integration of software for a wide range of critical product technology teams. You will provide a key function in shaping the success of Apple’s current and future products, and help deliver exciting new software features while maintaining Apple’s world class quality.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Knowledge of operating systems and compiler concepts
Experience developing in one or more compiled languages, including C, C++, Swift, or Objective-C
Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python, Javascript, Ruby or Bash
Proven track record of being proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented in a highly cross-functional environment
Expertise with SCM systems (git preferred), release engineering, branching strategies, pull requests, and git workflows
Expertise working with engineering and project management teams, demonstrating strong communication and coordination skills
Familiarity with scalable distributed systems, parallel workflows and microservices
Description（岗位职责）
VPG Build Triage Engineers are responsible for streamlining the build and integration process for highly interdependent software projects to enable high quality releases. You will be a part of a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, collaborating with software engineers and project managers to triage, diagnose, and coordinate the resolution of build issues to keep releases running smoothly. Your responsibilities will be split across build operations and development to automate tasks and improve the build process. Responsibilities of the job include:
Triaging and root-causing build and test issues in continuous integration and nightly builds
Writing detailed bug reports to provide engineers with information needed to reproduce and resolve issues
Collaborating with developers and integrators to ensure timely resolution of failures in nightly builds
Writing new tools to automate and improve and automate build triage workflows
Developing improvements to automated integration, testing and deployment of software and services
