Summary（岗位介绍）
The Product Validation Team is a key team in the Wearable Product Organization that focuses on end-to-end systems validation from new product introduction, new technology introduction, factory readiness, product launch and post-launch testing. As such this role will require working closely with a wide range of cross functional partners. Some of those partners include the mechanical engineering design teams, the electrical hardware design team, the broader core technology teams covering sensors , camera, audio, RF, reliability, as well as embedded firmware and device side app based software. This role will require driving unification of key validation metrics across those teams as well as developing testing and validation plans to quantify those metrics.
As a Product Hardware Validation Lead, you will be responsible for managing and executing board and system level validations of our products under development. To be successful, you need a breadth of experience across several electrical engineering domains, including: SoC, memory, high speed interfaces power, audio, display, camera, RF, power management etc. You will also have the opportunity to organize validation efforts efficiently and report status to the team. As a lead, you should be prepared to be highly motivated, detail oriented and insist on the highest standards.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Experience working with overseas development and manufacturing partners. And a track record of developing validation best practices.
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related fields, proven understanding of overall hardware system architecture common to consumer electronics products
Experience with electrical signal interface validation and standards compliance.
Technical breadth in at least two multiple consumer electronic domains – power electronics, signal integrity, battery management, RF, Audio, sensors, SoC, DRAM.
Interpersonal skills and experience to indirectly manage and drive various cross-functional team members (EE, SW, RF, Audio, PD, etc.).
Desire to define, document, and continuously improve test processes to increase our test coverage based on lessons learned
Experience interacting with test equipment vendors and knowledge of state-of-the-art test equipment
Description（岗位职责）
Lead Hardware Validation and performance characterization by developing and executing comprehensive test plans for each program at every phase.
Work closely with the other product teams and ensure alignment of validation and characterization plans. Define priorities and validation execution plan.
Validate the power regulation circuits (SMPS, LDO, power gates), signal integrity, power integrity, protocol compliance, audio, sensors, co-existing, and eco-system interoperability. Work with internal SW teams to develop tools to test SoC, memory, and subsystem electrical performance.
Provide expert root cause and corrective action support to resolve any and all issues found.
Track validation progress, present data, draft whitepapers, and represent status at design reviews.
Plan and budget lab equipment needs to ensure we have the capability to measure and debug all interfaces and technologies.
Manage interaction with third party test labs and contract manufacturing partners.
Own the validation process in the capacity of a project manager. Ensure resource, material, and test plan readiness. Lead test execution and deliver high quality test results on schedule. Communicate status to all stakeholders and drive closure of all issues uncovered from validation tests in every phase of the project.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience to lead contract manufacturing partners in validation execution with high effectiveness. Fluency in Mandarin.
Understanding of hardware system coexistence and interoperability tests.
Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related fields, proven understanding of overall hardware system architecture common to consumer electronics products
10+ years of experience in consumer product or silicon validation
Strong experience with high and low speed signal interface validation and standards compliance
Working experience working with android and tool chain. Experience in creating test scripts.
