The Reality Labs (RL) team is working on cutting edge technology that helps people defy distance and feel an unprecedented sense of co-presence through world-class AR/VR devices and experiences. We are seeking exceptional Interns to join the RL XR People team and work on advancing our quest towards Photorealistic avatars. XR People is an organization focused on productizing novel human representation technologies on AR and VR devices (e.g. face and body tracking technologies on Quest Pro). The ultimate goal of our effort is to enable experiences that are indistinguishable from real world interactions.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering in the field of computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, or related field.
2+ years experience with building systems based on computer graphics, computer vision or machine learning methods.
3+ years experience in C++ and Python.
Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description(岗位职责)
Design and execution of algorithms in the domain of computer vision, deep learning, computer graphics, sensor fusion, or HCI software and hardware prototyping
Collaboration with other researchers across various disciplines
Push the state of the art research from recent top conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, PAMI, IJCV).
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, PAMI, IJCV).
Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. Github).
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
Proven track record in tracking and modeling of humans (hair, face, hands, body, ...) and garments.
Proven track record in 3D reconstruction, non-rigid fusion, and volumetric capture (e.g. NeRF, PIFu).
Proven track record in image analysis and synthesis (e.g. GAN, semantic segmentation, lighting estimation).
Proven track record in ML based data compression techniques.
Proven track record in differentiable rendering and analysis by synthesis.
Proven track record in semi-supervised learning, self-supervised learning, or domain adaptation.
Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship.
