The RL Technology Engineering for Devices Team has the responsibility for taking breakthroughs in core technology and delivering them to market at scale. The Technology Engineering Camera and Depth Team seeks a manager who has extended experience in leading camera & depth signal processing related embedded software development for consumer electronics. This is a full-time position.


Bachelor in Computer Science, EE, or related fields with 10+ years of working experience or advanced degree in these fields with 5+ years of working experience.

More than 2 years of people management experience in consumer electronics or relevant product SW development.

5+ years of software engineering work experience, in-depth knowledge of SW development & optimization working principles and best practices.

3+ years experience in the low level on-device optimization, such as assembly, Neon, OpenMP/Boost/TBB/IPP, OpenGL/OpenCL/Meta/CUDA, etc.

Familiar with best practice and development tools in mobile type embedded SW development, and capable of conducting code review and SW architecture design.

Leadership and interpersonal communication experience in working across multiple disciplines, driving best engineering practices, and mentoring team members.


Lead creation & execution of Camera & Depth signal processing oriented SW production development strategy and process for novel consumer electronics products.

Lead delivery & execution of camera & depth related SW productization development, with focus on low-latency and computationally-efficient depth pipeline and image quality pipelines consumed by internal and external customers.

Build a high performance team of software engineers and managers with diversified backgrounds. Provide both technical guidance and career coaching to team members to deliver best work and maximize team members career growth opportunities.

Implement best-practice methodologies for camera & depth related embedded SW stack development and quality control. Build SW infra and tools as necessary to support camera & depth SW productization development.

Work closely with cross-functional software and hardware engineering teams to ensure alignment on priority and milestones for coordinated development effort and successful integration.

Manage and lead third party embedded SW vendor efforts when needed.

Drive engineering efforts in the product realization and bring-up.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

In depth understanding of contemporary camera & depth signal processing pipeline SW implementation in consumer electronics products.

Extensive experience and knowledge in managing teams productizing computer vision machine learning algorithm from prototype to product integration.

Experience in mobile compute processors and hardware acceleration(GPU, DSP and Neural Engine), with focus on low power consumption.

Working knowledge across the following areas with detailed experience in at least one: Depth map related signal processing SW development Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance and AutoFocus Algorithms Development Machine learning/DNN solution development for real time image/depth processing, with low latency and low power consumption Computational photography feature development Image/Video compression algorithm, framework and standard development.

Experience with joint hardware and software development and associated rapid prototyping.
