Virtual Reality is a promising new business for Meta which requires a high level of innovation and execution for long-term success. Our headsets and experiences are industry leading with more groundbreaking products being developed.
This Director will lead teams of data scientists covering two broad areas – monetization and foundations. A healthy and self-sustaining business is critical for long-term success of the VR program. This requires us to unlock revenue sources and ensure it is highly optimized to meet the needs of the company, developers and users. Long-term success also depends on solid tech foundations that directly impact device performance and user experiences. Both these areas are heavily dependent on analytics to succeed. To achieve these goals, this person will act as a key strategic partner to the engineering and product teams. They will also focus on building a high performing data science team by hiring, coaching and mentoring managers and data scientists.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
8+ years experience managing a team of data scientists/analytics professionals
3+ years experience managing managers
Experience working with cross-functional partners including Engineering, Design, Product Management and Data Engineering to drive product or business impact

Partner with cross-functional partners and leadership teams to drive product strategy through data insights
Develop a sustainable long-term strategy for each problem area
Lead the development of appropriate metrics and measures of success
Represent metrics and measurements with clarity across multiple executive leadership groups
Develop a high performing analytics organization and build a strong bench
Drive analytics excellence ensuring high quality analytics output
Own goal setting process, getting alignment across key stakeholders and leadership
