Beat Games is proudly a part of Reality Labs organisation at Meta. We have big plans for our game and to achieve that we are looking for a Senior Game Developer to join our studio in Prague to help take Beat Saber to the next level. We are an award-winning game studio based in Prague, Czech Republic. Our game has sold over 4 million copies to date and we collaborated with huge artists such as Billie Eilish and BTS.
This is a key role in building the future of VR games and entertainment with the Beat Games team. We are a growing team of leaders in the VR industry at the cutting edge of where music and games come together. This role will help deliver new features, services, and improvements to Beat Saber across multiple VR platforms.
BS / MS in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
8+ years in game development, ideally within a similar role.
A minimum of one shipped game title (Mobile/PC/Console).
Problem solving skills and background in coding.
Experience creating complex game/online systems.
A demonstrated proficiency in C# and 3D Math.
Applied knowledge of REST/GraphQL and network protocols.
Experience with analysis and optimizations.
Design, implement and optimize maintainable code.
Coach, mentor and guide the professional development of team members.
Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of the games productions.
Optimise various systems for best performance across platforms.
Work with your team and XFN partners to define and influence strategy.
Drive roadmap creation and execution.
Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organisational level.
Work effectively with XFN partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.
Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization.
Experience with Unity, including non-game loop features such as asset bundles, shaders, particle systems, and editor tool creation.
Experience with writing game servers and large backend systems.
Previous experience developing for the current generation of gaming platforms.
