Meta Reality Labs is developing products that will contribute to the development of augmented and virtual reality. Amongst other focus areas, the group specializes in research and implementation of motion sensors with an eye towards driving the state of the art through relentless innovation. Our team is looking for intern candidates with experience in classical and/or machine learning motion sensing algorithms to collaborate with our team in pursuit of novel sensing technologies.
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (24) weeks long, and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
Experience in developing sensor algorithms, e.g. sensor fusion, Extended Kalman filter, state estimation, AI/ML, and/or similar algorithms, for motion tracking, localization, navigation, attitude/heading detection, activity/gesture recognition, and/or similar use cases
2+ years programming in Python or Matlab
Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Description(岗位职责)
Create, execute, and optimize motion algorithms for 3DoF/6DoF tracking, using sensor fusion, state estimation, and/or AI/ML techniques
Aid in designing data collection and simulation pipelines for the testing, tuning and evaluation of motion algorithms
Collaborate with researchers, engineers and embedded FW resources across product and research teams within AR/VR at Meta on motion sensing systems
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
2+ years of hands-on experience in motion algorithms
Experience in SLAM and visual-inertial odometry
Experience programming in C/C++
Experience in calibration and signal processing for motion sensors and their intrinsic parameters
Familiarity with inertial sensors, magnetometers, ultrasonic transducers, pressure sensors, and/or similar sensors
Familiarity with the emerging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies
