The Meta Reality Labs Audio team is looking for a Research Scientist Intern focusing on the audio system technology. In this role, you will be involved in development of innovative audio systems from acoustic design, simulation for novel transducers to audio system design and audio algorithms. You will apply your knowledge, experience and expertise to solve complex engineering and technological challenges.
Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in in engineering: audio, acoustics, physics, mechanical, electrical or related field
Knowledge of acoustics theory, vibro-acoustic modeling and measurement
Experience in using commercial numerical modeling tools, such as COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools
Description(岗位职责)
Collaborate with Research Scientist and Audio System Engineers to develop modeling and algorithm to simulate the performance of novel sensors and transducers, integration, and the interaction in acoustic environments
Conduct lab validation tests and data analysis to validate and verify the numerical models
Advanced acoustic design (e.g. metamaterials, novel acoustic transducers, beamforming algorithm, and microphone array design, etc)
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Understanding of electro-mechano-acoustic systems design and modeling
Knowledge of finite element simulation and lumped element simulation
Knowledge of digital signal processing, and sensor fusion algorithms
Knowledge of novel acoustic transducer design and simulation
Programming experience in Javascripts, C/C++ or other relevant languages
Sound design or music production experience
