Apple’s Technology Development Group group is looking for an Audio Internal Tools & Applications engineer to build the supporting tools and frameworks that enable Apple’s AR/VR and interactive spatial audio technology efforts. This engineer will work closely with audio software, DSP team, and perceptual studies teams to design and build internal tools and frameworks for a wide variety of use cases. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of creative problem solving in a highly-collaborative fast-paced environment.
OS/macOS application development using Swift, Objective-C, or C++
Scripting languages such as Python, BASH, MATLAB, etc.
High level understanding of audio and interactive spatial concepts
Excellent communication skills
Development and maintenance of iOS / macOS applications & frameworks using Swift, Swift UI, and Apple’s audio frameworks
Process audiomation and data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages
Independent self-direction and engagement w/ partner teams to build tools and automate processes
Experience in the following strongly preferred:
Application development using AVAudioEngine, PHASE, or RealityKit audio
Deep understanding of spatial audio and room acoustics concepts
