We are looking for expertise in AR/VR Audio Software Engineer to drive the integration of groundbreaking technology into Apple’s product ecosystem. You will work closely with hardware and software teams to design and implement strong, low-powered audio system software. Within our organization, you will have a uniquely excellent opportunity to develop audio software in future products that will delight and inspire millions of people every day.
Excellent programming and debugging skills in C++, Objective-C, and/or Swift.
2+ years’ experience working on Apple platforms (macOS or iOS).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of audio, real-time and/or multithreaded software.
Extraordinary attention to detail and strong product judgement.
The Engineer will work multi-functional with high level frameworks and applications as well as low level runtime frameworks to integrate features, to improve performance and reliability, ensuring our experience and performance goals are met.
Comfortable working in a large code base, across multiple projects, and working multi-functionally with other teams.
Team-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal abilities, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers across the company, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Desired but not required:
Experience with API design and software architecture
Experience with audio engines for interactive/game development
Strong understanding of audio software stacks on iOS/macOS/embedded platforms
Working with networking / distributed compute.
