Meta AR/VR Job | Product Marketing Manager, Avatars Developer Ecosystem – Reality Labs

The Meta Reality Labs Product Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about building and marketing innovative social VR products and experiences that inspire meaningful human connection, creation and self expression, and new audiences to discover VR.
This position will join a team responsible for product marketing for Avatars across VR and the Meta family of apps. This role is deeply embedded with the Avatars Developer Ecosystem product team which builds platforms & tools that enable third-party (3P) developers to bring Meta Avatars into their experiences.
Our ideal candidate is analytical and creative, and can transition between tactical project work as well as strategic influence with product leaders. This product marketing team is focused on the inbound phase of product marketing and the strategy that informs outbound marketing with internal partners. Inbound product marketing responsibilities include foundational analysis to identify market needs by segment, opportunity sizing, gathering deep feedback from internal and external stakeholders, and representing the customer (3P developers) within the product team.
6+ years of marketing or product experiences, with demonstrable experience to bring the needs of the user into product development
Product marketing experience
Experience working with product teams
Experience working with or running user and market research, and applying research insights to product development
Experience creating market requirement documents, including audience definition, positioning statements and defined value propositions
Communication experience across functions (e.g., engineers, product designers, creative teams, legal, policy, marketing, partnerships, ops)
Analytical and problem-solving experience
Identify opportunities, and represent the market, by conducting industry and market research, including deep quantitative, qualitative, audience segmentation and competitive analysis, specifically related to social experiences in VR
Partner with user research, market research, and data science to identify quantitative and qualitative insights to influence product strategy and inform positioning, go-to-market plans, creative assets, and campaigns
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader VR ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback, positioning and messaging
Manage comprehensive, cross-functional activities including betas, positioning, policy, product documentation
Partner effectively with Product Management and Marketing Communications teams to lead successful product marketing communications around test and launch phases and clearly communicate value propositions of new products to go-to-market and brand teams
Manage market research and consumer insight agencies
Consumer marketing experience
Understanding of Virtual or Augmented reality
Track record of helping to build products with clear product market fit
Effectiveness working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, with the experience adapting, spot issues early, and escalate
Balance of creative and analytical thinking skills, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework
Experience managing agencies for daily workstreams and creative deliverables as well as working with marketing cross-functional teams, including creative, research, analytics, and media
