Process Application Engineers work to develop processes, pilot-scale tools, and prototypes for optical and display components in our AR and Smart glasses using semiconductor and optical fabrication techniques.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
A Masters or PhD degree in the field of Engineering, Optical Sciences, Physics, or similar with 5+ years of relevant work experience
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) applications and systems. Experience with different types of NIL equipment configurations (plate-to-plate, roll-to-plate, and roll-to-roll) and the relevant process flow
In-depth knowledge of NIL mold/mastering fabrication
Knowledgeable on the NIL resin composition, surface treatment in the NIL process, and the trade-off between key performance metrics
Experience troubleshooting complicated technical issues
Detailed oriented with effective critical thinking, structured problem solving, and practical application of Design of Experiments (DOE)
Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (e.g. JMP, MATLAB, Tableau, Excel, Minitab)
Demonstrated experience to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, inclusive of internal and external partners
Description(岗位职责)
Own the definition, selection and vendor development of nanoimprint lithography systems (hardware/software elements, automation, reliability, manufacturability etc.) to meet the unique imaging requirements of our waveguide technology
Identify gaps between imprint system capability and required performance specifications, work closely with vendor on new feature development to close gaps (including proposing new functions, technical discussion and providing engineering testing and feedback)
In-depth technical engagement with internal stakeholders and the vendor
Collaborate with Design, Integration, Process Engineering and Equipment Engineering to define and develop a Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) technology roadmap to meet our waveguide requirements
Drive improvement projects to increase tool’s reliability, availability, productivity and utilization
Maintain a safety-first work environment
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
5+ years experience as a nanoimprint lithography system applications or system development engineer
3+ years of industrial experience
1+ years of industrial experience fabricating optical components for near-eye displays
Direct experience working on developing/debugging Nanoimprint tooling for novel applications
Direct experience in performance mapping and development of foundational understanding of limits
Direct experience in root cause diagnostics of unknown/unexpected anomalies
Advanced knowledge of standard nanofabrication technologies including lithography, etch, deposition, cleans, metrology, and materials
