Summary（岗位介绍）
The Meta Reality Labs Optics team focuses on moving the state-of-art imaging and sensing technologies forward for AR/VR products, which gives people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. The team is responsible for technology development and maturation, component design, novel manufacturing processes and metrology development, and system integration of imaging and sensing optics for all of our AR/VR products.
We are looking for an experienced and highly self-motivated Optical Engineer, who will be driving the optical components of next generation imaging and sensing solutions.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Experience in optical process development, failure analysis, and production ramping is required.
Experience in data/statistical analysis and control for production is required.
Two years of experience with statistical software, such as JMP or MATLAB, is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin. Business level Mandarin proficiency is required because the role manages relationships with suppliers in locations where communications are generally made in Mandarin.
Product development experience in high volume consumer electronics products.
Experience in imaging optics design using optical software, e.g. Zemax or Code V.
Experience of working closely with domestic and international vendors.
Experience in optical component and module, packaging, testing and characterization.
BS degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline with 10+ years of experience.
Description（岗位职责）
Drive the overall development of compact lens assembly and specialized sensing optical components, from design to ramp.
Work closely with suppliers to define, develop, test, and deploy compact lens assembly and specialized optical components.
Drive failure analysis (FA) and troubleshooting of components, support FA of assembled modules, and system level failures related to those components.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.

Experience in image quality evaluation.
Experience in high volume production tester development for imaging and illumination optics.
Experience in consumer camera lens buyoff process.
