At Meta Reality Labs (FRL), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. Your team will own the end to end development of imaging and sensing optics for all FRL Hardware products. All of your work will change the landscape of capabilities of virtual reality and augmented reality hardware through a close collaboration with both internal and external partners.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Knowledge of statistical methods and experience in data analysis with tools such as Matlab, JMP or Python.
Ability to work under pressure and travel domestically and internationally about 30%
Understanding of material science and hands-on experience with vacuum systems, Evaporation and Sputtering technology.
Experience in plastic injection molding process and microlens molding and stacking.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related technical discipline with 5+ year industry experience.
Description(岗位职责)
Develop new coating processes to meet coating design requirements and support and maintain documentation for thin film processes.
Work with suppliers to develop and validate molding processes for both macro and micro optical components.
Work closely with external partners to transfer design into manufacturing and Investigate root cause of failure/defects, and implement corrective actions to support production.
Communicate effectively within a development team, with internal stakeholders, and with outside vendors.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Familiarity with cosmetic inspection and quality control of coating and optical components.
Proven track record in working with production and transferring design into high volume manufacturing.
Knowledge and experience on optical filter development, atomic layer deposition and hard (dip/spin) coating is a plus.
Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc).
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related technical discipline with 10+ year industry experience.
Experience with thin film design and analysis software Essential Macleod, OptLayer and TFCalc.
Experience in optical metrology equipment and material characterization techniques like spectrophotometer, phase-shift and white light interferometer, surface profiling, and ellipsometer.
