Summary（岗位介绍）
We are looking for a Device and Module Process Engineer to join our team to build new-to-the-world optical and display devices and modules, thermal management modules, and subsystems with materials and devices that are beyond state-of-the-art. You will be working with top experts in the field to design and develop novel processes to bring research concepts into functioning prototypes. You will further work with diverse cross-functional teams to integrate the prototypes into systems on product roadmaps. You will also be able to influence the design of the technology at an early stage based on processing considerations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical depth in process development in certain areas as well as breadth in adjacent areas.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Master’s degree in the field of Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Textile Engineering, Composite Materials and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Sciences, Optical Engineering, other related engineering, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of process development experience in one of the following areas: optical lens molding, other polymer molding, composite materials, camera modules, display module, optical sensing modules, other optical modules, display front end processing, R2R film processing, textile, and mechanical enclosures.
Demonstrated creative problem solving experience to find effective solutions.
Description（岗位职责）
Collaborate with leadership, research scientists, simulation engineers, and system architects/engineers to devise processes to prototype new-to-the-world optical devices and module, thermal management modules, or sub-systems at early exploratory research stage.
Explore and/or develop novel process technologies to enable multiple iterations of prototyping while ensuring the processes are manufacturable.
Collaborate with partnership and business development team, sourcing team, and technical program managers to identify capable industrial and research partners to develop novel process technologies.
Execute on early prototyping builds with internal resources or external partners.
Participate in New Technology Introduction (NTI) planning to ensure successful adaptation of the research concepts and prototypes in a product roadmap.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
5+ years of process development experience in at least two of the following areas: optical lens molding, other polymer molding, composite materials, camera modules, display module, optical sensing modules, other optical modules, display front end processing, R2R film processing, textile, and mechanical enclosures.
Experienced in taking a technology from early concept to early production.
Demonstrated experience in working with external partners.
A Ph.D. degree in the field of Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Textile Engineering, Composite Materials and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Sciences, Optical Engineering, other related engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated experience in process equipment design.
Familiarity with DOE, SPC, and Process FMEA.
Experienced in project/program management.
Demonstrated understanding of relationships between structure-property-processing-performance of a material.
