The Video Computer Vision group at Apple develops technology shipping e.g. in Animoji, ARKit, and FaceID. Its Munich Vision Lab is looking for a passionate deep learning engineer to help us develop ground breaking algorithms for real-time motion capture and body understanding in AR. This technology will transform how people communicate.

As a deep learning engineer in our team you will collaborate with both software teams (computer graphics, video engineering, data generation/annotation, system integration) and hardware engineers (cameras, silicon, electrical engineering, product design).

3+ years of experience in deep learning and computer vision with a track record of academic publications or successful industry projects
In depth understanding of machine learning principles and 2D/3D computer vision
Excellent programming skills in Python and ambition to write fast, efficient, and maintainable code
Proven experience in at least one major machine learning framework: TensorFlow, Keras, (Py-)Torch etc.
As part of our “Body Technology” research and development team, you will be working on next generation video and image analysis projects and apply modern deep learning approaches to compelling computer vision use cases. Our work is focused on real-time performance and finds its way into the range of future Apple products. We are improving existing technology as well as developing completely new approaches to enhance the way we interact with devices. Because we integrate tightly with the hardware platform and even influence its design we are able to create products that are extremely fast, power efficient, and accurate.
