Do you love working on challenges that no one has solved yet? The Imaging and Sensing group at Apple develops Depth and Image Sensing systems such as the revolutionary True Depth camera that powers FaceID and the recently released LIDAR scanner.
The Imaging and Sensing group at Apple develops depth sensing systems such as the revolutionary TrueDepth camera that powers FaceID and the LiDAR Scanner in the new iPad Pro which enables various AR experiences. This multi-disciplinary group of engineers is responsible for research, architecture, design, and development of future Apple products and technologies.
As part of Apple’s Synthetic Data Group (SDG), you will contribute to the design of a synthetic dataset generation platform in a fast paced multi-functional team. You will be interacting with HW, SW, and ML teams to build, maintain, and deliver Apple quality state-of-the-art experiences. The individual thrives in a dynamic research and development, and fast paced start-up environment, while staying committed to code quality, testability, and maintainability to build software solutions for Apple’s next generation products.
5+ years of software engineering experience with python / C++.
Experience with collaborative software development, continuous integration and git.
Experience working with image processing / computer vision algorithms and libraries.
Experience with modern computer graphics / GPU programming.
Proven excellent software design and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently with peers and customers around the globe.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams locally and around the world. Leverage your experience to develop software solutions for synthetic data generation at scale. Our goal is to deliver self-service tools that enable automated generation of images & videos required for training of data-driven computer vision algorithms. Develop, deploy and maintain high-quality code that can run reliably at scale.
