Reality Labs (RL) Teams focus on delivering Meta’s vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The RL team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. Our team has the responsibility for taking breakthrough concepts and delivering them to market at scale.
This position has a 24-week duration. All candidates are expected to commit to a consecutive 24-week timeframe for successful completion of the program. At the end of the term, those participants who have demonstrated their ability to succeed and make an impact at Meta will be considered for a full-time position. Roles are filled as candidates are identified.
This program is open to all candidates who have relevant professional experience and have been out of the workforce for 2 years or longer immediately prior to the start of the program. Must be unemployed or underemployed for 2 years or longer immediately prior to the start of the program
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
2+ years of professional experience working as an Electrical Engineer or a similar capacity
Experience working with technical or non-technical teams, cross-functional groups or vendors against plans
Experience articulating engineering solutions to both technical and nontechnical cross-functional partners
Designing, simulating, prototyping, debugging and testing of embedded systems which combine electronics, mechanics, optics and software with end-to-end ownership of product design from concept to launch
Building schematics, completing board layouts, assembling, testing, debugging, and integrating designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems
Collaborating in a team environment with cross-functional teams such industrial design, architecture, product design, NPI, research and supply chain Specifying components
Transforming vendor reference designs into custom solutions
Experience and knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) technologies, such as rigid, flex, hybrid, HDI, etc.
Understanding or experience in Consumer Product Development Lifecycle programs
